These are amazing, I cannot recommend enough (I’ve ordered more!)

Since having my children my periods have been very heavy, I had to double up on pads. Which I hate for a number of reasons including the amount I was wasting, the cost and it being uncomfortable

I had high hopes for these pads due to reviews but thought I would probably still need to use disposables at times but figured even making a small change is positive…. well I can’t believe I used a mega mega pad on its own for my heaviest day and no leaks, felt very comfortable and secure and I haven’t had to change as often as I did disposables.

The washing of the pads I followed the instruction and they washed and dried well like new

    THANK YOU!

I suffer with endometriosis and, as well as the super heavy periods and grim spotting, it also means I am borderline neurotic about what I put on and in my body. Tampons are a no-no for me now (too painful as I have a large cyst) and I regularly flood sanitary towels. Once I got over my initial reaction to reusable sanitary products (which was, like many, ‘ewwww gross’) I watched some of Lauren’s Instagram vids and got a bit more clued up on the subject. Then I felt ridiculous for having used disposables for so many years and made my order. I went for the Heavier Starter Pack and I am so happy with this bundle. I work from home so I haven’t actually needed to order any more yet but I definitely will do at some point. On Day 1 I use Mega Flo, followed by Mega Mega Flo on Day 2 – when things are really, well…flowing! I’m not exaggerating when I say they last twice as long as disposable pads. Probably a lot longer! I used to change every time I went to the loo but now it’s far less. I have been using these for 3 months now and so far I have not had a single leak. They are honestly brilliant! They feel super silky and comfortable – they popper fasten around your knickers and stay in place nicely. They are almost invisible in normal clothes – so much so that I felt safe enough to wear my fancy high-waist (painfully fitted) light jeans on Day 2 this month!
If you’re grossed out about washing them, pop them in an old pillowcase. They wash up perfectly and dry really quickly. Period gold for heavy bleeders and one less thing to stress about. Thanks wear ’em out!

So I’ve been curious yet skeptical about making the move to reusable pads for a while. I’ve got fibroids which means my periods are incredibly heavy (think post birth levels). I normally use maternity pads and have to change them every 2/3 hours for the first couple of days of my period. I used lockdown to try reusables out so I wouldn’t be caught out outside of the house if I had any leaks. First day: Honestly it was a bit weird. They feel different (oh so soft on your bits) which freaked me out. By day 2 I forgot I was even wearing them, they just feel like you are wearing your knickers. Also no leaks (even with exercise). I’m converted.

    • Lauren

Becky this is so wonderful to hear ? we’re so glad that you found our pads ‘soft on your bits’ and that you didn’t have any leaks, thanks so much for your review – Team WEO

What a fab product! So comfy and the poppers kept the pads in place really well. No rubbing at all. Really hardly noticed I had one on – so much more comfortable than a disposable pad.

I probably gave them and unfair test on night 1 of my period by using the mega mega on its own – I did leak – but I usually use a double pad and tampon for the first couple of nights – so that did not put me off at all. This was the only leak or even fear of leakage I had. The rest of my period they were great. So even if I still use a bit of extra for a couple of nights I will still be saving a lot of disposables.

I haven’t trialled them on a heavy workout yet but absolutely fine on long walks (I don’t walk slowly).

Washing them was no bother at all – a rinse when I changed it and then bunged them all in the washing machine at the end of my period ready for next month.

    • Lauren

Wow Sarah you really put them through their paces didn’t you ? so pleased to hear they didn’t disappoint, thank you for your review – Lauren x

I am literally over the moon with these pads!!! Bought this heavier starter pack and the lighter starter pack and I’ve ordered some mini flo to use as panty liners between periods.
Literally so happy I found these. I get irritation from disposable sanitary products literally from the first time I’ve used them no irritation so comfortable even the mega flo one I used at the start of my period.
100% recommend these you won’t be disappointed!!!

    • Lauren

Oh Sarah, thank you so much, what a fantastic review, and we’re always grateful when our customers feel happy to recommend us – Team WEO

I’ve been feeling convicted about how much waste my period produces for a long time, but couldn’t find an eco-friendly period product that really suited my needs. And then I found Wear ’em Out – and I won’t be going back. Everything about these is great: the quality, the comfort, the easy-care of the product. These are so much more comfortable than disposable sanitary towels, are far more secure, smell far better, and are so easy to keep clean. Even when my period is at it’s heaviest, I’m not even a little bit worried about leaks. It’s a revelation. I’ve just ordered more, because these are well worth the investment!

    • Lauren

Boom, thank you Helen for your great review, we truly appreciate it – Team WEO

  7. Joanna Noyce (verified owner)

I am so glad I made the switch! These pads are a revelation, so much more comfortable than disposables, more secure, less smell, cleaner and generally just so much nicer to use. They are easier to keep clean than I imagined and I barely knew I was wearing them (so soft!) – no loud rustling noises either!
I need to buy a few more to round out my collection but they are definitely worth the investment.

    • Lauren

‘A revelation’, this makes us very happy to read, thank you Joanna for taking the time to leave such a fab review – Team WEO

    • Lauren

Wahoo Joanna, no loud rustling noises is enough to make the switch right, so pleased you’re loving you pads – Team WEO

  8. Laura Nicholas (verified owner)

I love these! Since getting this pack a few months ago I’ve not looked back. They are comfortable, don’t leak, and easy to clean. Although my periods are heavy, they are quite short so this pack is great for me. If they get longer I’ll definitely add one or two more to my collection.

    • Lauren

Hey Laura, thank you so much for your comment, so pleased to hear that you’re loving the pads, it can be a pretty scary swap especially when you have a heavy flow – Team WEO

  9. Amy Kavanagh (verified owner)

Switched. For. Life. I was nervous about switching but had been recommended WEO by a friend and haven’t looked back since. They are so absorbent, so comfortable and wash really well. Will certainly be ordering more! Bravo WEO!

    • Lauren

Ahhh Amy we’re so pleased you braved making the switch (we never underestimate the process) and we’re so pleased you trusted us as your first reusable pad, thank you so much for your review – Lauren

These pads make what is normally an awful, unbearable and painful time, far more comfortable.
The pads are durable, comfy and reliable and I would recommend them to anyone who goes through similar experiences. These are worth every penny I spent without question

Fantastic product and I for one will not look back.

These are very absorbent pads and are well made. The two smaller sizes are great and are far superior to the period pants that I have tried before. However, the largest size is quite bulky and the metal poppers chafed so much when I went for a walk that they cut the top of my thighs and made them bleed. On my second cycle of using them, I tried the technique to ‘mould them’ and they were better but still chafed. Overall I was very pleased with the smaller sizes but may keep the largest size for nighttimes only.

So glad I’ve made the move. Fab reusable pads. Wear and wash great!

  15. customer (via Trustpilot) (verified owner)

So so much more comfortable than disposable pads, however I have had a few leaks, and they’re really bulky to store/carry round with you. I’m undecided as to whether I like them or not currently.

  16. Jemma (via Trustpilot) (verified owner)

I had been thinking of moving to reusable sanitary wear for ages but not quite figured out how I wanted to do it. A friend had tried these pads and really recommended them so I gave it a go. They arrived within the timeframe, really nicely packaged. Clear instructions about how to use and how to clean them. They were really comfortable and I was so happy to have a period with absolutely no plastic waste. I have quite a heavy flow and had no problems with leaking, even at night. I’m thrilled I made the change and although the initial outlay of cash was on the dearer side, because they are reusable I’ll soon get my money back on them.

I wish i had made the switch earlier. Makes a change to the heaviness of my flo, it has reduced masses 2 periods in.

Washing and Care Instructions

Wear ’em Out Reusable Period Pads

Be sure to give your pads a good rinse in cold water when you take them off to minimise staining, whilst our fabric is stain resistant, it can still happen (the Light Grey option is more likely to show stains if this bothers you, maybe stick to our Navy pads).
When you’re ready to wash your pads, you can wash them by hand (throw them in the shower with you for ease) or you can throw them in with the rest of your laundry (up to 40°C). Your usual detergent will be fine, but don’t use fabric softener, as this will affect the pads’ absorbency.

Top Tip – If you want to tackle any stains naturally, 4 tbs of bicarbonate of soda mixed with 60ml of cold water make a great stain removing paste, rinse stain in cold water to remove blood, apply the paste and leave to it work for 3 hours, then wash as normal. We recommend that your pads are put through a washing machine cycle at the end of your period, then flattened out to dry.

To dry them, we recommend hanging them up to air-dry, hanging them in an airing cupboard is fine if you have one, but don’t put them on direct heat or into a tumble dryer as this may cause shrinkage.

Wear ’em Out Bags

Our bags can be washed in the same way as our reusable pads, throw them in the same wash as your pads at the end of your cycle or at any time.
